Burj Dubai is the super tallest building, it has also broken 2 other remarkable records: tallest structure, earlier detained by the KVLY-TV mast in Blanchard, North Dakota, and super tallest self-supporting structure, earlier detained by Toronto’s CN Tower. The Chicago-based committee on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat has recognized three criteria to decide what makes a tall building tall. Burj Dubai wins by distant in all three categories.

Highest engaged floor

Height is calculated from the level of the lowest, important, open-air, pedestrian entrance to the highest repeatedly occupied floor within the building. Protection areas are not included.

Height to architectural peak
Height is deliberate from the level of the lowest, significant, outdoor, walker entrance to the architectural pinnacle of the building. This includes spires, but does not contain antennae, signage, flagpoles or other functional-technical equipment. This dimension is the most extensively used and is used to describe the Council on highest Buildings and Urban Habitat rankings of the Tallest Buildings in the World.
